A dental implant is a small titanium post placed into the jawbone to take the place of a missing tooth root. Once the bone has bonded to it, the implant supports a crown, a bridge, or a denture that clips securely into place.
Implant treatment at Green Tower is led by Dr. Sajeev Valsalan, an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with privilege in implantology. Planning starts with imaging to assess the volume and quality of bone at the site. Where bone is insufficient, grafting may be recommended first.
The process takes time. After placement, the implant is usually left to integrate for several months before the final crown is fitted. Healing speed varies between patients, and factors such as smoking and uncontrolled diabetes affect it considerably. We will give you a realistic timeline for your own case at the planning stage.
