Dental anxiety is common and it stops a great many people from getting treatment they need. Sedation can make treatment manageable for patients who find dental visits genuinely distressing, and it is also useful for longer or more involved procedures.<\/p>\n
What is suitable depends on your medical history, current medications, and the treatment planned. We review all of this before anything is agreed, and we will refer or decline where sedation is not the right or safe choice.<\/p>\n
Depending on the option used, you may need someone to accompany you home and to avoid driving for the rest of the day. All of this is explained clearly in advance, along with fasting instructions where they apply.
